Musculoskeletal Problems in Patients with COVID-19: A Review Study

Context: SARS-COV-2 is a coronavirus belonging to the beta-coronavirus group that primarily targets human respiratory system and causes symptoms similar those of pneumonia. It should be noted clinical patients with COVID-19 vary in different people. These do not only experience problems. In fact, infection may show variety symptoms, including fever, shortness breath, dry cough, nasal congestion, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, myalgia, arthralgia, fatigue (muscular mental), joint swelling, headache, diarrhea, as well some musculoskeletal symptoms. Therefore, aim this article was investigate major problems through narrative review study. Evidence Acquisition: This study collected related published studies PubMed, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar sources between 2019 - 2020. The main keywords were COVID-19, coronavirus, such muscle fatigue, swelling. Results: included (25.6%), myalgia arthralgia (15.5%), swelling (as reactive arthritis), conditions limitations, tendon shortening, weakness due prolonged bed rest. Conclusions: Our findings revealed attention rehabilitation essential their rehabilitation. Besides, it would effective reducing physical complications hospitalization, returning independence functional activities, improving quality patients’ life.
